Hanna Hammarberg, from Sweden, the new face among accessory designers specialising in hand-made leather goods, moved to London in 1997. With her talent for blending different colours in the same materials and distinctive craftsmanship of accessory design, Hanna has been working since graduating with a BA honours in accessory design from the London College of Fashion, initially as a freelance designer for Ghost London for its first leather accessory range, and then on her own range.
Later, as many designers began to see her talent, Hanna then had the opportunity to design for Matthew Williamson, Louis De Gama, Julian Red, and currently as head accessory consultant for Maharishi.
She also has shown her versatility by producing custom made accessories for popular rock band, Dirty Pretty Things and hand-made leather portfolios and menus for Soho House as well as other well known restaurants.
Hanna Hammarberg design has become recognised by her rocky and quirky, yet functional style, alongside very subtle detailing on experimental shapes, using the best of Italian leathers.
Her collections have been showing at Paris fashion week for two seasons. She is preparing her third collection for the Spring-Summer 2008 show and Hanna Hammarberg is now available worldwide.
