As I wonder how to approach writing about Barack Obama, I think, OK, Michelle Obama appears to be the nouveau Jackie Kennedy: She's pretty and has great taste and style. Barack has all the ladies and men woozy over him and so does Michelle. So, I am looking around for hot photos of the two of them, and I find a site that has literally 1,150,000 pieces of merchandise (earlier there were only 26,900 pieces) having to do with Barack Obama. I am intrigued. Very intrigued!

So I start going through the pages. I find T-shirt after bumper sticker after button after T-shirt that say things such as:

Barack the Vote
Obama Mama
Obama Grandmama
Babies for Obama
Anthropologists for Obama!
Obama '08 "Vote Irish"
Stubborn Dreamers for Barack Obama
Teachers for Obama
Obama Chick
Si Se Puede Obama! (Spanish for "yes we can")

After four pages of sayings and "yes we can"'s and bumper stickers and buttons, finally, simply: "Barack Obama for President."

Then strangely, in the midst of this is a Hillary shirt. Totally odd, a "one of these things is not like the other" moment, which at first really confuses me. Being that it is in blue and red, and quite design-y graphic, I think, "Is that a Hillary-looking Michelle? Why would Hillary be in the midst of the 26,900 designs of Barack Obama?" I can't say — but it's she. Then back to Obamarama.

I come across Obama hot sauce, made by the same company that makes Colon Cleaner hot sauce. I'd love to slip that one to Mr. Bush. I even find a life-sized Barack standee, on sale from $32.50 for a mere $27.50!
