Kauai

Description:

Kauai FACT SHEET
 WHEN TO GO
Any month will do, but since Kauai is such a family destination, the best time is any time when school's out. Summer months are warmer. In the fall and early spring, rates go down and crowds thin out. Winter can be wet and expensive, but that's also the best time to catch a waterfall or see a rainbow.

Current conditions:
80° F, RAIN

HOW TO GET THERE
Flights directly into Kauai's Lihue airport originate in California, are not scheduled for daily service, and can be expensive. But flights into Honolulu International Airport (HNL) are easy to book. From there, hop on a commuter plane (they run every hour) on either Aloha Airlines (www.alohaair.com) or Hawaiian Airlines (www.hawaiianair.com). In just 30 minutes, you'll be on the ground in Kauai.
