Before you grab a snack make sure you are really hungry and not just thirsty. We frequently confuse hunger for thirst. Drink a glass of water (8 oz) and wait 10 to 15 minutes and see if you still feel hungry.
Make sure you drink at least 8 8-oz glasses of water each day. It will help keep you filling full. Water can also come from fresh fruits and vegetalbes.
Carbs are digested in only 1 hour while protein and fat are digested in four to seven hours. The best meal combines healthy fats, protein and carbs - like a peanut butter sandwich on wheat bread.
