We are an obese nation.
Heart disease is the number one killer of Americans.
And it is almost always preventable.
I am over weight. My cholesterol is too high. I rarely get any exercise. I don't get enough sleep. My diet is awful. Guess what! I am slowly (and not that slowly) killing my heart!
The longest journey begins with a single step.
I have to make a change in my lifestyle - for me and for my family. I want to live a long time.
I have created this website as a way for me to track my progress, to motivate myself and as a learning tool. I hope other members will help and encourage me along the way. Maybe I can encourage them as well.
